Pros

I worked with a great team of smart, capable people, who performed their jobs well in spite of this instability of this company. T

Cons

The multiple layoffs and company merges didn't make it easy to work here. Toward the end of my tenure, It was like playing a game of Russian roulette. My luck finally ran out and I too was let go. It was a great place to work as Global Compliance, but it has gone down hill since then. The newer management had their own agenda and was clueless as to the wealth of talent that they had on hand. As long as all of the decision makers reside on the west coast of the country, I think this will continue to be a problem for the Charlotte office. Just the opinion of a pion.

I am sorry to hear your experience here was anything other than excellent. I appreciate the merger 3 years ago was a difficult transition, and there were (and continue to be) areas where we recognize we can improve. I hope you feel that your feedback is being received, and we are continuing to improve.

Pros

There is some ability to move to different departments.

Cons

Long hours expected, performance will be judged against employees working 10+ hours a week. Terrible managers and interdepartmental cooperation. HR is actively offensive. It's expected that HR is meant to protect the company not the employees but they are exceptionally awful. I've never been micromanaged by such incompetence. Anyone with any real talent has jumped ship already. Somehow bringing in bruised fruit every Monday is meant to fix the toxic atmosphere. It is not.

Pros

Amazing teams with a some leaders that genuinely care. If you only want a job and don't expect any loyalty, dedication, or a market wage, it's not a bad career jumping off point.

Cons

Since BC Partners acquired the bulk of the company it's been a pretty steady downward slide. NAVEX used to be a family company, with compassionate leaders and one that did the right things right. Now, the only thing that matters is profit. Over work/life balance, over employee loyalty, over ethics. Bob Colin navigated the CEO waters with grace and dignity and never would have let this company become the disgrace it now is. Layoffs happen at least quarterly if not monthly, but are never communicated. Employees that given their lives to the company are tossed aside like yesterday's news. There used to be a culture of protecting people, product, and reputation. Now it is outsourcing and profit. I used to recommend this company to anyone I could, but now I'd recommend you find work elsewhere if you can. Some of the managers are truly amazing, the issues definitely stem from the C-Suite, Board, and some VPs.
