The recruiters definitely oversell the earning and upward mobility potential. Specifically for the entry level sales executives and account managers. Their is no plan for advancement. Top performers at the entry level DO NOT make six figures. Even at 100% to plan.
The base pay of $50k sounds reasonable until you realize all of the responsibility and expectation that is placed on the Sales "EXECUTIVES". I use use word lightly because there are people in this role with little to no relevant experience.
The only reason that the middle and senior executives make six figures is because their bases are $25k &$40k higher respectively.
The training program has went through a complete overhaul in the past two years or so, however it is still grossly insufficient. There is more focus on how to talk through power points, leave voice-mails, and Google search other companies rather than how to uses the extremely complex Salesforce platform that has been custom built over the past few years. Many people have had terrible experience with the trainers being condescending and rude.
The majority of sales managers/VPs were simply successful sales reps or "in good" with the right individuals so although they get paid gross amounts of money in comparison to other employees, it's not because they are growing or helping other reps progress forward in the company.
There is no path to progression in the company. Rather than hiring top performers from within, the company continues to hire mid level and senior level executives. This is likely one is the reasons to the high churn rate.
Overall this is not a company that does what it takes to ensure their employees are growing and feel more than expendable. (Specifically Sales)
