Terrible HR department, old-timers getting a free ride, favoritism

Pros

Excellent benefits and better than average pay.

Cons

I've never seen such a Macchiavellian HR Department as at NDS. Your concerns and needs are not represented by this department, though they pretend to be on your side. Senior management in the card plant is not interested in advancement of its employees or fairness. There is much favoritism at play and gross salary inequities. A few people do most of the work.

Good company if you want to stay and rust

Pros

Good pantries, free lunch Short term onsites Flexible work timings Good HR Policies, Good transport. Overall good in employee well fare policies. Good to work for people who want to work in embaded technologies or c. Good for people coming from unknown companies or Tata Elexi. Paying ok.

Cons

Works with old age technologies. no technical growth. If you are good at talking, its ok if you are not good in technical. Very less scope to grow. No CMM or ISO standard. After working in NDS for 2 years, you will become useless to other companies as you will forget what you know also. Company is very conservative to change. Doesn't accept the change in technology. Managers will not care for the employees about their growth, confirmation or promotions. Its you who need to ask for everything. And when you ask it will not be given. Its good for people who have 9/10 years of exp. outside and want to settle here as a team lead etc.

Pros

NDS is a very good pay master, and treats the Emplyees well.

Cons

The Management in few lines doesn't really care about the employees. Promotions are purely on manager satisfaction not in technical values but in showoff. Even the management doesn't care about the developers , focuses more on it's immediate subordinates.
