8yNLMK USA values its employees and strives to provide a healthy and safe work environment. We continue to make continuous improvements that make NLMK a preferred employment choice. This is evidenced by our safety performance, strong compensation packages and the fact that we have many long-term employees.
Unfortunately, the steel industry, like many other businesses, is affected by the economy and the ups and downs of the market. When the market is strong, plenty of overtime is available to our employees. When the market slows down, there may be layoffs. We always strive to minimize such interruptions for our employees and layoffs are only implemented as a last resort. The current steel market conditions are good which permits stable working conditions for our employees.
