Layoffs are unpredictable and without reason, and include the engineers. Management says they want employees to "build houses in the Natus family neighborhood," but actually they have layoffs without rhyme or reason - this year alone they laid off 2 groups of engineers, including permanent/fulltime ones, including some of their best engineers. Some managers are also playing games by throwing their employees under the buss in meetings etc, only protecting their pets who support them unconditionally and throwing under the bus anyone who disagrees or who is female. Bad for anyone, but especially women. Also, healthcare is horrible - forget about getting anything you really need covered. They don't mention in the negotiation that for most people you will need to pay hundreds out of your own pocket per month, in addition to the insurance payments, to get any healthcare. Also the bonuses are VERY low (4% of salary - what?!) and also not reliable - for instance no bonuses planned to be paid out in 2023.
