      Great benefits and competent management, but outdated platforms

      Pros

      Excellent benefits, pay and bonus plan. Most middle and upper level managers are competent and flexible in their management approach towards their teams.

      Cons

      Most of the risk management platforms the credit union uses are either antiquated and/or unreliable.

      High stress environment with zero work-life balance

      Decent but cheap coffee on site.

      Cons

      7 seconds between back to back calls of near constant verbal abuse by customers. After two years, I found most of my colleagues had taken some sort of leave of absence or FMLA for mental health related struggles as a direct result from work related stress. Would NOT recommend this job for anyone who has any struggles with depression or anxiety. Single parents steer clear- ZERO work life balance. I tried for a YEAR to get my schedule changed to no avail! Mainly to better care for a family member undergoing treatment for stage 4 brain cancer. I was scoffed at for even trying and told schedule changes are approved in the order they are received and based on ‘tenure’. Sorry- THAT is outrageous, impractical, and large reason for your massive turn over rates.
