Pros

Some really great people work here. Upper management is positive about future.

Cons

There's some very unethical practices happening here, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw some lawsuits/company shutdown. Benefits are really lacking compared to competitors. Upper management/HR is all talk no action.

Pros

Supposedly the "best" in pathology. I honestly have nothing positive to say.

Cons

Terribly disorganized. They lack direction and follow-up with their employees. No training, compensation is a joke, and it's a "boys club". Run from this company and don't look back. Do you due diligence if your looking to work there.

Pros

I couldn't find any pros for this company over the past two years.

Cons

1. Dishonesty. The company promised to support me for a 2-year sponsorship application when I signed the offer letter. However, they didn't keep their promise. They told me that it was not in my offer letter when I requested them to apply this year. I showed them the HR's email, which includes the sponsorship details and then they finally submitted my application. What's worse, I was selected for the H1B lottery this April, but they kept on delaying the filing process for more than a month, and eventually refused to file to complete my selected H1B application and terminated my position. They wasted my precious chance! This is ridiculous! 2. Discrimination. I got laid off 2 weeks after I told them that I was pregnant. At that time, I was in my last trimester of my pregnancy, which was already visible. But they terminated my position with limited severance (no insurance coverage in the first version of severance, which is inhumane). After multiple rounds of argument, they finally provided me few months of insurance coverage for future prenatal appointments. 3. Toxic working environment. The manager does less but earns more, while lab workers work a lot but gain less. Some managers can even work remotely, and you cannot find them during work hours, or they always delayed reply in Teams. This makes your work even harder. Also, managers have poor scheduling skills and time management. As they don't work in a lab, they think one task can be finished in a few seconds. They always underestimate how long the task takes and give us a limited time to finish the task. Besides, the organizational structure is not clear enough. It looks like everyone in the lab can assign tasks to me and my manager usually says nothing. The relationship among colleagues is very complicated. 4. No career growth. You will never get a promotion, no matter how good your performance is. What's worse, you will get a lower performance score from your manager if you talk to the manager about the promotion before the annual evaluation. I got 2 beyond expectations, 2 at expectations and 1 under expectation for my annual evaluation and then the manager gave me under expectation for the overall performance -_-|||.
