Pros

Really easy to build great working relationships Tons of people who are passionate about their disciplines and interests Flexible scheduling and sympathetic HR Awesome after-hours perks and clubs Fun company events and gatherings

Cons

Departments are all misaligned with one another, leading to a lot of weird communication hiccups within them. Lack of ground-level advocacy has created "silos" Esoteric, detached messaging from executives Once-revered culture has become a shadow of its former self

Pros

Cons

My first year at Nerdery was great and I had some opportunities for learning, but the last year has been incredibly unstable. I recognize now is a rough time for a lot of industries, so instability is unfortunately common; however, the current chaos is not truly related to that. They hired a new Chief Growth Officer (CGO) who has not articulated a clear plan for improving sales and in turn, delivery employees have been laid off while the sales team continues to grow. Additionally, the CGO spent more time trying to restructure and consolidate power than planning. He also supposedly uses transcription software to record meetings, but has never formally announced he was doing so. I truly enjoyed working here in the beginning, but the chaos and instability just don't seem to have a clear ending. I would not recommend applying at this time - especially if you are a member of a marginalized group.
