Collaborative culture with smart colleagues; expanded market opportunity; cool customers
Pros
* The most collaborative and collegial culture I've worked in (having been at several tech and non-tech companies previously). Colleagues here are smart and fun to work with. Very low ego. Everyone from senior execs on down roll up their sleeves and get into the details. Yes, we have high expectations - which is something one should want in an organization * Solid product roadmap and business plan. Our product development pipeline has accelerated over the past 2 years. The features we released over this period have made our main product market-leading (not a commodity) as seen in 3rd party industry reviews such as Forrester. We have more enhancements in the works for our main product. As well, we are now focusing on new products that leverage our core platform while significantly expanding the market size for us * Stable and growing R&D team. While some colleagues were unfortunately impacted in a recent re-organization, our core engineering team is larger than it was a year ago * Growing customer base. Our major customers include numerous Fortune 500 companies and major advertising agencies. Many have been with us for a number of years. We partner closely with our customers on our product roadmap - and they have been thrilled with the new functionality we have implemented * Solid career path. My responsibilities have steadily increased in the nearly 3 years that I have been here. My managers have been responsive in providing me the opportunities that have allowed me to grow After our recent re-org, I had 2 offers to go elsewhere with extremely competitive comp packages. One with a major tech company based in Seattle and one with a local startup that just closed another round of funding. I declined both offers because I believe in our business plan and love the collaborative/collegial culture we have built here
Cons
None - unless you are not willing to work hard and be flexible as the market evolves
