Not a real Job

Pros

You will pick up information that can be used for a real sales rep job. This can be good or bad, but If you need a job really badly, you'll be hired on the same day as your interview.

Cons

DO NOT work here. If you do not work your entire shift for 1 day, management will take it out of your pay for the entire week to reimburse themselves. There is no explanation of what you will be doing until after you are actually hired and have completed their 2-day, 30-minute training which requires you to come up to their office. (The job is selling phone plans through AT&T at a kiosk in a Sams Club or BJs) Zero work-life balance, they expect you to come into the office on your off days with no pay. low $10/hr minimum base commission pay After a certain amount of time out in the "field" (Sams club/BJs) you are expected to clock out of your $10 hourly base and remain on your post. New employees will be clocking 60-70 hours for $200. False sense of quickly moving up the corporate ladder. No benefits. No reimbursement, although you are expected to drive all around Atlanta and set up in stores. Upper Management and "high rollers" do nothing but brag about how much they make as motivation to get others to follow their practices, which require you to be out in the field for 12 hours, 5-6 days a week.

Hi reviewer, I'm very confused by your claim that management takes out from your pay to reimburse themselves if you do not work a full shift, this is not the case and I'm unsure as to what you are referring to. Please reach out to our HR team at hr@newacquisitionsinc.com to resolve any confusion you have in regards to pay. As far as there being no explanation of what you will be doing until after you're hired, we go through a three-round interview process with every candidate before hiring where we break down the position in detail and encourage candidates to ask question to ensure full transparency. I'm also confused as to your claims about being expected to clock out and still work as this is also not a policy, not to mention illegal and not something we advise anyone to do. As an employee it is your responsibility to clock the hours you work and we pay as such. Overall, I'm very confused by this review and would love to help solve any confusion, please reach out to our HR team, so we can resolve this.

Pros

Friendly co-workers that you might build a bond with

Cons

The company itself is just a branch for a larger corporation that’s given its own brand to maintain some kind of ego for the regional manager, the job you applied for is most likely not the job you will be working. You will be selling direct tv and cell phones in a sams club alongside a plethora of business and marketing students/ graduates whose eyes gleam with envy and the prospect of being the owner constantly bragging about his new bonus Rolex that he will drop the 14 grand for in order to make it gold plated and when he isn’t bragging about his newfound wealth he is contradicting himself in every meeting. Not to mention that every morning you’re meeting at a shabby office, discussing the same reductive things over and over as well as listening to the owner project literally the same speech as if the office wasn’t a big enough echo chamber as is. I cannot stress this enough that this place is a joke and hell hole all in one. Oh! And expect to drive far otp with no compensation for your gas nor the wear and tear your car will experience, leave as soon as possible or you will surely have drank the kool aid.

Dear Reviewer, Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and we acknowledge that. We would like to sincerely apologize that you have a negative experience with our company as we pride ourselves in the time we take developing and investing in our employees we are sorry that it seems like we may have fallen short here. Of course, not everyone is perfect. As far as our management staff, your ascertion here is correct in some ways, he did achieve a significant promotion and should be proud of that. Our office is not shabby, it is newly remodeled and we tend to get compliments on it daily. We foster a positive and professional atmosphere and we are sorry that it seems as if we failed to impact you in that way. We sincerely wish you the best of luck in your future endeavours.

Pros

meet some nice people. anyone can do this job small chance to progress everyone starts at the bottom if you want to stand in Home Depot or Sams club selling a service this is for you!

Cons

play obvious favorites, potential to move up but very limited and takes a long time. you have to train people below you to move up but the turn over rate is too fast to achieve that manager flashes "expensive" watch at you as motivation "my watch is worth more than you'll make in the month" people really only care about how much money you can make. requires no smarts or knowledge. just common sense its not marketing. purely sales in retailers long hours. make you get there at 730am, but don't pay you until 8 they don't pay for travel or gas, but require you to drive to multiple locations, and you're not on the clock while you're traveling even though its mandatory. was told to get a better portfolio, and a manicure to look professional. gather 20+ people in a small room to talk about daily goals and boast they talked a lot about psychology of this job- it doesn't apply at all. should have followed my instincts that it was a strange work place

Dear reviewer, Thanks for taking the time to give us some feedback! We're sorry to hear that we didn't have a longterm fit here, but we're glad that you met some nice people along the way! In regards to your comments on the growth potential of the company, we only promote from within to make sure that there are advancement opportunities within the company for those that work for it as opposed to those that have simply been here longest, but we apologize if that came off as management playing favorites. We've had multiple team members in the last year move from an entry-level position into management, so it's definitely more than possible! As for our manager's comment, we apologize if his comment came off the wrong way. Our corporate culture is based off of hard work ethic and humility, but we will look into this claim. We do dress business professionally in the office, but that in no way means someone is required to get a manicure. Such suggestions would be unwarranted unless in a case that would affect the image of our clients. Also, before anyone accepts the position, we have a meeting with them and ask if they have any questions or reservations regarding any positions they might accept with us and all of our candidates are more than welcome to take time to make a decision. No one, by any means, is forced to accept positions with our company. Again, thanks for the feedback and best of luck with everything moving forward!
