Pros

Teaches you what you don't want at a future job.

Cons

Bias creative managers Poor management skills Encourages office gossip Terrible Morale You will not want to accept or stay at a job here. It becomes a negative and consuming aspect of your life. It has the worst management in the last 3-4 years that I have ever experienced. Everyone is trying to get their foot out of the door. I have experienced harassment as well while working here, but cannot report it out of fear of backlash. Management and employee communication is overall disrespectful and unprofessional.

Pros

Work/life balance, ping pong, sometimes there was a pretty good selection of chips in the company kitchen (when it worked) Pretty good benefits, When company morale was especially down, they'd send a snocone truck to the building. The fake nacho cheese at the company meetings. I really enjoyed my team, my direct boss & the Camaraderie against senior leadership.

Cons

Senior leadership. This is something you have probably seen on the T.V. Show " The office." If you enjoy a company that has no real plan and references a magic wand when goal planning, then this is the company for you! Human Resources- I was there for 3 years, in 3 years there was 100% turnover in the human resources department. The new team of HR members is for lack of a better word... a joke. They exuded the exact opposite of the culture that management was trying to cultivate. They lived and died by this imaginary set of HR laws that made them totally not approachable and actually the butt of a lot of jokes. Not flexible, condescending and played favorites. Pay- Significantly underpaid in market comparison. Promises were made by HR & Senior Leadership to rectify this, but it was always the same song and dance... "this is a long process, requires lots of work blah blah blah." Stop trying to make up for my lack of pay by giving me a free snocone. It's not the same. Snocones don't pay the bills.

Pros

Working for New Balance is a lot of fun. I never knew working in retail could be fun. Everything is very structured and organized. This is my first job and I couldn't have asked for a better place to work. Hope to stay here for a long time to come.

Cons

Not being able to know what our shipments will be until we get them. Also not getting new styles in very often. Customers are finding it difficult to find a style they like. And when they do find a style they like, half the time we don't have their size.
