Terrible Environment

Pros

Decent salary, a couple of nice people.

Cons

Lots wrong at the San Diego office, but they will not tell you that during the interview process. They claim to be an Agile environment, but they have far too many bloated processes, make up their own words to describe the work such as "Gaggle" and "Baggle", and just have way too many managers to get work done. Employees are clearly worried about their jobs, don't speak in meetings, and people have verbally said they are probably going to lay off employees again due to opening the office in India. There are severe egos that continue to get in the way with the IT teams in R&D. If you are not a developer, don't expect to get any respect from the manager of the department. Also, this office has zero empathy if you have a family emergency. They do not care and they lie when they pretend there is a work/life balance, which does not exist! The office is a dismal place to work and is obviously a temporary space until they have another layoff, which is coming. Just don't waste your time with this organization.

Not Reccommended

Pros

There are some really great talented people, office renovations in some locations, casual dress environment in certain locations

Cons

Initiatives poorly rolled out within the organization, communication has improved little over the past several years, no real care for the employees, mass exodus of long term employees, good employees aren’t valued, continued layoffs for years now (big and small), really top heavy – hiring of executives, smaller employee appreciation initiatives have been minimized, poor leadership.

Talks it but doesn't walk it

Pros

Decent software, but needs serious updating. They have many dedicated workers. Good opportunities to learn.

Cons

Senior management professes to care about the employees and talks about integrity and focus on better customer relations. But very little to none of that theme is carried out by the middle management core, who mostly consist of long term employees using old-school style management techniques. Most were elevated from the ranks and have little to none management skills - and the morale of the employees shows. We're all just keeping our heads down, hoping to not get caught in the next wave of lay offs.
