Cons

AdRoll laid off a large chunk of their employees in 2020 only to announce record profits a few months later. AdRoll simply does not care about their people.

We appreciate the feedback and the opportunity it gives us to improve the Roller experience. We want all of our Rollers, both current and former, to view their time with us as a positive in their careers. Unfortunately, difficult decisions had to be taken at the beginning of the pandemic one of which was a reduction in force in which we lost some great Rollers. Since that time, we’ve been fortunate to ride the ups and downs of our current market. This has allowed us to welcome back some of our team impacted by the RIF. We hope to continue to do so. Pros

The company and culture values listed in the handbook are no longer there anymore.

Cons

Common Pattern: CEO speaks at the townhall about all the positive financial trends, then sends out a layoff email a few weeks later. The Fact: Almost all core money-making Ad features rely on a retiring Google technology and must be rebuilt before Q1, 2024. After that, these features will no longer output anything close to what they currently do. This means that their existing customers will not be able to benefit from running Ads on their platforms. So-called Benefits: The company values and culture are a joke. You'll be let go before you can use it (like maternity leave or parental leave).

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We acknowledge that NextRoll has undergone significant changes over the last 12+ months, and that impacts the employee experience. We've had to make tough business decisions, however we feel that we continue to center the importance of our values throughout these difficult decisions, and we do not take the impact these decisions have on our Rollers lightly. We are focused on continuing to build on the foundation of trust, and invest in our employee programs. We also want to address your comment on the ad features relying on a retiring Google technology, as that is not an accurate reflection of the situation. It's not Google technology that is being deprecated, but a long standing web standard, third-party cookies, which are going away. NextRoll supports this effort as third-party cookies are problematic for privacy, and we're invested in supporting user privacy on the web. Google's new proposals are designed to support the web ecosystem while maintaining privacy, and NextRoll has been an active participant in this standards process. We are confident that we will successfully make this transition while maintaining advertiser value insights, and we welcome this change overall. Good company until covid

Pros

- Flexible hours - Pay is good - Remote friendly - Vacations are good - Challenging projects - Great colleagues

Cons

One day (on March 31st) they told us the company met the financial results, and that is stronger than ever. Literally the next day, they told us that a lot of us would be fired. The worst of this is that the company took as the first option to fire us when we engineers have access to how the company is doing (and it was doing great).
