Thank you for taking the time to write a review on NorthStar Anesthesia. Our clinicians are all fully licensed and trained to ensure patient safety and positive clinical outcomes are the number one priority. We have a dedicated credentialing team to ensure physicians have met all legal requirements before performing any services. We never encourage physicians to sign off on patients before seeing the patient. We encourage our physicians to be compliant with proper documentation. We appreciate your feedback.

Pros

Our group is a good one. For the most part, anesthesiologists and CRNAs get along well. Although we are team model set up, the CRNAs have a good amount of autonomy, (starting cases, doing cases and ending them without much interference from MDAs. In fact, I rarely see them in the OR. Occasionally they may assist with induction by applying monitors and getting the Bair Hugger in place.

Cons

Only 4 weeks vacation. One week CME. Cannot rollover any PTO days to the following year if unused. No family leave. Our schedule only comes out one month to 5 weeks ahead of time. 3000 dollar deductible. When deductible is met, the employee will always be responsible for 20% of medical expenses. 401k match is very small. Only 1500.00 allowance for CME. And...NO RAISE IN FOUR YEARS!!
