Wonderful peers, too many downfalls

Pros

Work with a variety of peers, who are amazing and feel a lot like family ( am not speaking of administration or managers, but the peers who work along side me)

Cons

Hospital under a lot of change, has taken on a lot of punitive action towards staff with punitive actions in policy without discussing with staff, and have the attitude, that "If you do not like it, go work somewhere else". Not keeping promises made to staff, cutting wages, and high turn over of many seasoned nurses . Season nurses are being let go, or quitting.

Cons

1- psychologically unsafe place to work 2-toxic work environment 3-the practice group is a mess . They hate each other and talk negatively about each others. Nurse practitioners know very little but they want to work independently and call themselves specialists. They have the “gang up” mentality that would destroy you mentally.

Pros

Benefits are good for employees and depending what department the flexible schedule is nice

Cons

In the corporate world, You have to part of the "in crowd" to get anywhere in the company. They don't hire managers that fit and work the job description. They are not loyal to employees that have been there for a long time and actually work their jobs. They expect the good employees to take up for the slackers and the slacker get ahead.
