Pros

Honestly I have nothing positive to say.

Cons

The CEO is an insecure man-child who cares more about partying and his image that the people of this company. This place is toxic, not inclusive, and treats everyone as if they are disposable.

Management needs to get it together

Pros

Decent healthcare benefits, food stipend, and wifi reimbursement. It's sink or swim here, so if you survive you learn a lot.

Cons

Leadership has no idea what they're doing. Their outlook on strategy always leans towards the short-sighted. The success of the product is hiding all the chaos and inefficiencies that are happening internally. No department looks or works the way it's supposed to. It's honestly embarrassing how much we're running around like chickens without heads. The people who actually keep the company operational have to blindly figure everything out on their own, which would be fine in a start-up, except that should be management's responsibility. The problem is management can't seem to get it together long enough to implement standard and efficient process (not really sure what they’ve been hired to do thus far). This leaves the good employees doing double work, while getting under-paid and under-appreciated. Employee turnover is like a revolving door. People are getting fired or quitting left and right. Someone you're working with on a project today could be gone tomorrow. It feels like there's a new person every week replacing the one occupying the role previously.

Pros

-There are some amazing people at Nutrafol - they are kind, caring, authentic, and empathetic. -Because it's a start up, you do work very hard, which is rewarding in my opinion.

Cons

-Leadership is VERY toxic and I cannot stress this enough. The leadership team will blame, gaslight, lie, and make you question yourself at every turn - no matter how experienced or confident you are in your career going in. This continues top down, so causes intense anxiety across the board, no matter what team you are on. -Being a wellness company, you would expect better work/life balance but there is close to none. You are offered unlimited PTO, but you will be made to feel guilt if you take it, or will end up working while you are on it. Communication via slack starts at 6am and doesn't end until 11pm. You are expected to be online 24/7 and answer immediately. If you take 35 minutes to work out, you will hear about it. The leadership will SAY that family/self care comes first, but any time for yourself or your family is implied to come second to Nutrafol. -Boundaries that you try to set for yourself or others on your team will be crossed by leadership. -Negative talk about other employees/teams from team leaders. -Team leaders will make their team feel more like personal assistants than actual employees with experience. -Deeply demeaning talk from team leaders - regardless of your age, experience, etc. you will be made to feel entry level compared to them and they will say it directly to you.
