Pros

There is opportunity for someone coming into the industry to obtain healthcare experience. Clinics and equipment are brand new. Hours and schedule are good.

Cons

Little job security with employees going on performance plans all over the place. Inadequate job training. A majority of staff are unprofessional and just shuffling seniors in and out. Roles are not clearly defined for some clinic staff. Mangers hire friends rather than qualified professional workers, focusing on quantity rather than quality will the begin to rear its head if it already hasn't. Gossip and rumors are all around.

Bully-like environment with greater concern about flipping the company

Pros

Okay benefits and easy to get your friends hired. Some talented people that are smart and trying to make a good career for themselves. Lots of free LaCroix.

Cons

Common thread interanlly is thta leadership is more concerned about flipping Oak Street for cash rather than actually investing in it. Leadership is not approachable and is arrogant arrogant. Several have caught management in lies or inconsistent stories. Company is dishonest about actual numbers, surveys, etc. Those of us in the field are in entire disbelief of the credibility of the leaders and constantly micro-managed. There people who are running the actually departments have never stepped a day in the function. These same people cant seem to look up from a spreadsheet and connect with any of us. Zero career advancement unless you know the owners or their friends. Which leads more than half of the teams are actively looking for jobs. Have brought several bullying complaints to clinic staff with no action. HR picks and chooses who their favorites are and can not discern what is an actual problem is and what is not one.

Seems like a sinking ship

Pros

There are some smart people who care. There are some decent doctors and nurses who are really into helping seniors. Transportation is provided to patients which aides them in getting the care they need in marginalized areas.

Cons

What used to be a neat organization seems to be taking a turn South. People who have been here a long time, that were well liked are just get fired for no reason, then only to have management sweep it under the rug like it was something mutual when everyone knows otherwise. Few people in the field trust the higher ups and the direction of the company which makes it hard to come to work everyday. Tons of over the top boot licking of upper management runs a muck.
