Pros

A lot of wonderful humans work for On.

Cons

On continues to get worse and worse as far as moral, leadership and culture. It’s almost as if the more resources and revenue they have, the less they choose to reciprocate the efforts of the wonderful people who literally keep the company afloat. A lot of the things I’ve seen seem straight up illegal, and I wouldn’t doubt that they may find themselves in some tough spots soon enough between the way they treat the employees and the lack of knowledge and understanding senior leadership seems to have around the needs of the business and people that make it run. The hierarchy and politics that came along with the IPO was expected to a degree, but grossly blew expectations out of the water with the choices made and the continued changes they prioritize. Leadership is living in a whole other world and unfortunately does not care about anyone, unless for personal gain. A lot of egos being hired who have no true knowledge but a whole lot of social game and manipulation to play into the longer standing leadership, who are so detached from the business and people that they would listen to anyone with a title and story. A lot of marionettes and puppeteers. I would also agree with a previous review in that HR is a mess, and definitely not a safe place to go to with any complaints or for support. There is no confidentiality or accountability, and they don’t seem to have enough emotional intelligence to leave anyone feeling comforted, reassured or supported. On attracts hardworking people who prioritize kindness and integrity. Unfortunately, those people often get torn down over time and are constantly taken advantage of. I couldn’t recommend On to anyone I care about, or even someone I don’t.

Pros

- Product discounts - "Hybrid" work environment

Cons

- This company does not care about its people. Company Growth and Profits > Providing opportunities for people to succeed - Lots of office gossip and managers playing favorites - HR refuses to hold Managers accountable for bullying and creating a hostile work environment - Founders are completely out of touch with the realities of the people they employ - Holiday parties and "offsites" are excuses for GM and Managers to drink and peer pressure employees into drinking excessively - Employees who have been with On for more than 4 years create a toxic, unwelcoming environment for new employees

Pros

Worked directly with some amazing people, who wanted to commit 110% to the company. Dogs allowed on-site, got some free shoes, got to visit their HQ in Zurich(partially self-funded).

Cons

Higher level management does not provide the needed resources/employees to do your job well... or even come close. Started "in a backlog" and despite long hours and mandatory overtime(on salary, so this is all unpaid), only saw that backlog grow exponentially. Was told we were actively trying to add to the team, but saw people with professional-level Customer Service and running experience get turned down without specific reasoning. Due to constant backlog, customer interactions regularly begin with "apologies on the delay" and trying to de-escalate or manage customer disappointments. Expectation is essentially that a 40+(50-60...) hour work week is natural and "part of the fun," and we repeatedly received "disappointment" when we couldn't provide this overtime, or get the delayed work done in that time frame. Undefined "company culture" is noted as a cause for hiring/releasing folks, and commitment to that culture involves using your own lunchbreak to run/work out with the team. Work-life balance is not a factor for management, in favor of an expected over-worked commitment, perfectly defined in their slogan "never not On."
