Pros

- The people. A majority of the people they bring on are there because they believe in the company's philosophy/mission. The friendly staff makes you want to go to work everyday, as these people become your friends. - Opportunities to advance within the company exist at almost every level. - Great place to serve as a launching pad to something/somewhere else. Not a place to stay though.

Cons

- The company seems to be focused more on expansion ($$$) and growing patient base, than improving upon what they have now. I think the high turnover rate amongst physicians and administrative staff alike reflects this. Perhaps this would be a good time to slow down (or stop) expansion, improve upon what you have and then expand from there? While having a patient centered practice is always a good idea, catering to patients so much so that the quality of the services offered begins to suffer- well that seems contradictory to the mission of offering a different experience and not being "your typical doctor's office". -Nepotism. It's rampant. -Grossly understaffed given the number of patients they are attempting to serve, and the work they are trying to do. Makes it difficult to uphold the promises that the company is making. -Staff don't receive the same level of internal care that they are expected to provide the patients they are serving. You would think if you are doing a good job, your employer would have your back.

Pros

The company tends to attract young people. When there is nothing else out there, this is a good job that pays the bills. I agree with a previous reviewer that this company is a good side-job while allowing you to pursue your true passions.

Cons

The company weighs heavily on its marketing efforts to make itself appear to be the best medical office for patients. They do this by carefully monitoring their online Yelp reviews. This may work to attract more patients, but is completely misleading and the number one source of physician dissatisfaction. Whenever a negative Yelp review is posted (many times because the patient is just unreasonable), management will do everything they can to get the patient to take it down or pay Yelp to remove it, while doing nothing to defend the physician. When physicians approach management that online reviews do not tell the whole story, management quickly responds that it is the physician's responsibility to set patient expectations, and if you get a negative review, it is your fault that you did not set patient expectations right. What ends up happening is that the physicians who cater to patients' every wish (even if they are not medical sound) get the best ratings from patients. Many patients have figured this out, so will leverage this by going to One Medical Group for controlled substances due to the "good customer service" promise. Management has done nothing to make the medical clinic a safe and medically accurate institution. There is a lot of turnover at the company. There are some clinic sites where the entire physician staff has overturned within a year, or there are no physicians on staff at all. This reflects how unhappy physicians are working at this company. One of the questions the company asks its patients is "How likely would you recommend this medical office to a friend or a family member?" When the company asked its physicians this exact question, most physicians answered "Very unlikely." In my opinion, the physicians at this company does not seem very bright. One physician used to ask me how to treat diabetes, the most common disease in primary care. I am not comfortable recommending this medical office to a friend or family member if the physicians do not know how to handle basic medical problems, regardless how great their bedside manner or online reviews are.

Pros

Everyone from admins to management to providers is really fun and great to work with. There is no power dynamic, and everyone works as friends. The work is challenging and fast paced and there is little room to be bored. In terms of opportunity to grow, it seems like there is a lot of mobility and the ability to take on roles and tasks that interest you. As a quickly growing company, there is also a lot of room for promotion.

Cons

Lots of work, and often not the most fun. Some patients can be extremely rude and blame you for things that have nothing to do with the company. A lot of it comes from patients who don't understand their insurance or healthcare in general and need someone to blame. Good thing there's always someone around to help make you smile.
