[FYI: Company doesn't pay for the premium processing of the visa, you have to shelve $1300 from your own pocket, still they have a problem applying for it before your extended OPT starts.] 3. Joining Letter That piece of email is so useless, you can just toss it to junk e-mail as soon as you receive it. All the job responsibilities that are mentioned in that email, you perform exactly the opposite of it. You might be hired as a developer but you would end up doing integration. If you are one of the unlucky ones then you get to be on the on-call rotation list for supporting the product (free recipe to make your life worse than what it is and on top of it you don't get paid a cent for providing support after hours.) 4. Except for some industry experts other managers don't have any technical (CS) related background. They expect you to work hard and make things work, but when it comes to your expectation get lost this time, next time when you work hard we'll think about it. The experience in using proprietary technology has no demand and use anywhere in the world in (CS related field), I wasted my nine years of my career and now have to re learn all new main stream technologies again. If I was using some main stream technology for entire last nine years of my life, I would have had a different career.
