Pros

Flexible about working hours so I could sometimes work at home, but this is at the discretion of your team-leader/manager. I have a great team-leader. Free coffee. There are a couple of Tassimo brewers if you know where to look.

Cons

Lack of co-operation between teams. Some team leaders don't care about quality, just deadlines. Next to impossible to get anything innovative done. Senior management seems completely ignorant of what really goes on at a grass roots level in the company. Its as they work for an entirely different OpenText than the rest of us. Clueless. A mire of bureaucracy. Most of the administrivia that employees have to deal with is confusing, frustrating, and slow. Ridiculous internal structure. People in one part of the company jet around the world doing this and that, and yet there is "no budget" to ship a small but essential piece of equipment from one office to another.

Pros

Relaxed management style, laid back culture. You can be a few minutes late returning from lunch or break, nobody has a cow. No micromanagement which is usually prevalent in phone jobs.

Cons

Willy nilly training on proprietary product, commodity service, company is shedding revenue at about 30% per annum.
