Pros

Company culture is exhibited daily by employee's actions. Excellent pay & benefits. Personal and professional growth opportunities. Exposure to innovative and emerging technologies. Working with some of the finest individuals within the Utility industry.

Cons

Field employees may find the amount of travel throughout the week challenging. Exceptional and dynamic growth during the last few years created a unintended consequences such as bottle necks (where none existed) and a perception of a lack of transparency.

Pros

As I read the negative reviews on this site I have to wonder if they worked for the same company! - Management is promoted from the ranks of Foreman which provides a great career path for those that are willing to perform. Advancement in most companies that I am familiar with is merit based and it is no different with Osmose. - Pay and benefits are excellent. 401K with some company matching, Vacation, Healthcare, Profit Sharing plan which invests money into 401K yearly as a retirement nest egg. - The upper management has great vision and has always steered the company in a growth direction which has provided lots of growth and advancement opportunities and kept the company healthy and profitable. Yes, profit is a good thing because if you are not profitable you will not be in business very long! -The thing that I love about the company is the freedom to be your own boss within the security of a National Company. When I was a Foreman I felt like I was running my own small company (yes I am now in Management due to merit based performance) and that is what appealed to me. Every day was different and I never felt like I was watching the clock waiting for the day to end. I was responsible for hiring and firing my own crew, caring for a company vehicle and tools, and payroll just like a small business owner. If you like having responsibility this job will provide it. - Travel. While some may view the travel as a negative, which it can be at times, I have had the opportunity to travel the country and see places that I probably would have not seen had I not had the opportunity to travel. - Stable established company. Osmose has been around for a long time and is recognized as the industry leader in the field.

Cons

- Our work is physical and outdoors. If you like outdoor work it is not much different than any other outdoor work. If not, then find a job inside in a climate controlled environment. - Travel. While there is travel during the week most crews are able to be home during the weekend due to the continued growth of the company. If you sign on with Osmose you have to understand that this will be part of the job due to the nature of our work.
