Great place to work!

Pros

Fun work environment. There is no drudgery in coming to work every day. The culture is a positive one, where ideas and communication are welcomed and encouraged. You have total access to management and executives in the day-to-day. Also, OuterBox is a forward thinking company and a true leader in eCommerce. It's exciting to be a part of the growth.

Cons

Let's be honest, no company is perfect. OuterBox faces challenges just like any small business that is expanding. They work hard to improve their internal processes and enhance the client experience. The only Con is normal growing pains.

Immature Culture & Bad Client Retention

Pros

You will learn a lot b/c the company doesn't have a lot of resources; thus, you have to learn some things yourself. Recommend for someone out of school; not a seasoned pro. It's also great if you're trying to fill in a gap on your resume by learning another skill set b/c you will be exposed to a lot of areas. Employees are generalists & not specialists, which can be a good thing for those looking for educational growth. B/c it's so small, I also think there is opportunity for improvement if the owners listen to the cons.

Cons

The owners need help with running a business & are still treating the company as a start-up. There is a lot of blaming b/c of the immature culture. They constantly lose clients & don't care about the quality of work until it's too late. Also, they'll take about any client when they're not fully qualified & give them unrealistic expectations, making your job extremely stressful. I was also shocked by how people treated each other in meetings & how the owners would send inappropriate emails to employees during PTO & late at night. Emails that came across as rants. I think it comes from the stress of losing so many clients that everyone is fighting to not have it look like it's their fault. They have a horrible turnover & I don't recommend for someone looking for stability.

Maybe this was accurate in 2015, although I think it's a bit of a stretch, but definitely different in 2022. Always growing 🚀
