Run from this company

Pros

The connections on slack made before they fired everyone was nice, and the kids were really sweet at times.

Cons

This company is terrible at management. Paper does mass firings incredibly often, especially during the summer months when nearly everyone is on sabbatical, yet they're still looking to hire people for the fall. They promised us a bonus they didn't wish to pay at the end of the school year. There is a toxic work environment on Slack, so if there's even a hint of criticism towards the company it gets deleted or the person gets fired. In terms of firings, they cannot seem to get a grip and fire the people who have wonderful performances and scores, so I don't understand their thought process there either. Overall, a bunch of awful people runs this crumbling company, and that's putting it lightly...

Pros

Wonderful peers and product has potential, even after leaving I still think it is an excellent tool. Work-life balance was great, but maybe led to the downfall.

Cons

Small group that travels together, basically the first 30 that are part of the company despite lack of managerial experience will always have jobs - which clearly comes through immediately after interviewing and starting. Certain managers are not great managing teams and getting deals done - pricing is all over the map for clients. School districts will eventually find out and the company may lose credibility. They said they laid off 15% of the workforce, but in actuality it is higher and had an opt-pout period which many should have taken since it was two months pay and not the terrible 2-3 weeks given. The 'great package' touted at the company wide layoff meeting was utterly terrible in the industry, albeit they did not have to do anything. They stress family but left many stranded with their pants down.
