Pros

The pay is generally above average. Probably because they have to in order to keep anyone.

Cons

I would speculate that if you see a good review of this company from a current employee, they were probably either threatened into it or paid off to do it. That's just how creepy the management is in this company. I found the managers to be a unique mix of severe Narcissistic Personality Disorder and Passive Aggressive Personality Disorder. They will purposely put up roadblocks to your success and then gloat about it while checking their hair in the mirror. The business model is ridiculous and the CEO thinks he's Bill Gates. Whatever they tell you they value, it's the opposite.

Pros

The only pro in my case was a competitive base pay and attractive variable comp model. Quite literally nothing else positive at PFL.

Cons

Where to even start? I was recruited to join PFL in early 2021 and left a position I loved at a company I love to follow the promise of an exciting, challenging work environment with high growth potential. It couldn’t have been a more opposite experience. The first red flag I should have heeded was during the last portion of my interview process, where I was flown up to Montana to meet with the team in person. It was then that I was told that I was a “Diversity Hire” and had huge potential to move into a leadership role, if I wanted to, down the road. The strange thing is that only thing “diverse” about me, I guess, is that I’m a woman. What makes this diverse at PFL is that the company only had one other woman on the MarTech side of the house (outside of inside sales reps), is the CMO. Speaking of the CMO, she along with the other “leadership” team are a complete joke. Take a look at their LinkedIn profiles and work background. Yikes. As another reviewer mentioned, if this company exists in the MarTech space in two-three years, I will be shocked. Be prepared to have one set of expectations communicated, but a completely different reality present itself. Be prepared to be lied to. Be prepared to be miserable more work days than you are happy. Be prepared to find many coworkers you can commiserate with. Be prepared to keep your resume up to date. Best bet, just avoid PFL.

Pros

Some co-workers were great to work with

Cons

I determined quickly that the mission and values they say they follow could not be farther from the truth. The disrespect and way in which people are treated by management is toxic. The system that all the employees operate on is cumbersome and not user friendly. It takes 10x as long to perform basic tasks than it should and things are constantly breaking or not operating correctly. Anyone who comes to PFL with outside experience is quickly run off as they try to improve the processes and way things are handled. If you come from anywhere with experience don't plan to try and improve the backwards way things have been done. You should just get used to doing things the "PFL way"

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I am sorry to hear that your experience has not been a positive one. We take all employee feedback seriously and we are always looking for ways to improve. We do acknowledge that change is hard and we have gone through a lot of change. We are encouraged by the progress we've made together. We are making massive investments in tools and people to enable us to have a much deeper relationship with our customers where the conversation is a strategic discussion about all their marketing technology needs. Our continued growth and sales results show that our customers appreciated and endorse the changes. Yes, there is dynamic change going on but if people are interested in working in a fast-paced environment in a growing tech company we hope they consider PFL.
