Pros

-Good Benefits - Free Food - Great Schedule (37.5 Hours/week) - Good Location

Cons

-This company is not for everybody. They definitely have a particular type of personality in mind when they hire. It will be a real tough road if you are a bit on the introverted side. This is a very sales oriented company, and even if you're not in a sales position, you are expected to portray that "sales-y" persona at all times. -Management tends to stick you into a box very quickly, and once they do, it's nearly impossible to break out of it, even if you continue to produce quality work. First impressions are everything here, so make sure that you knock them out of the park, as they will largely determine your fate. -I found that my job description changed quite a bit between time of hire and my start date. I was originally told that I wouldn't have to do any selling, since I took a job in the corporate offices in Orange. Afterwards though, I found that I was being pressured to go "into the field" and do selling with a more experienced agent. I accepted it without hesitation, but when I found that none of the sales agents in the field had time for me to work with them, I was the one blamed for this. - Despite quality work and praise form many of my fellow employees and team members for the job I did, managers and executives would always find a reason, however small, to tear it down and make it seem meaningless. However, others would get rewarded and praised for doing the simplest of tasks. If you are not one of the favorites, you will have a hard time here. -It's a very "dog eat dog" environment. Certain employees will be friendly to your face, but will not hesitate to throw you under the bus behind your back. If you're looking for a workplace with a flatter hierarchy and where office politics are de-emphasized, this is not the company for you.

Our sales culture is one that makes us proud. Since notably (life) insurance is not typically sought after, despite its benefits, we do educate and sell. This has allowed 190,000 families who otherwise may not receive coverage to be protected with over 11 billion worth of protection. We do like to provide our employees with the opportunity to get hands on experience when we can. Often this entails experiencing our sales presentations in person or over the phone regardless of position as a better way to connect a person’s role to what we do. PFP is made up of many diverse thought leaders at all levels and encourages ideas from all levels. We understand if our culture is not for everyone and appreciate unique differences. We agree “fit” is a two way street. Part of our hiring initiatives include not only are you a good fit for us but are we a good fit for you? Thank you for the feedback. We appreciate your comments and will consider them as part of our continuous improvement.

At PFP, we show appreciation to employees in many ways from special events, recognition and rewards, performance and merit increases to a “profit sharing" bonus. We do not provide a Christmas bonus but rather a “profit sharing” bonus. This is done to recognize our diverse workforce and acknowledge everyone’s contribution to the company’s success. Our company goal targets begin on January 1 and run through December 31 of the same year. For the past several years, we have made or been close to our target and the company has generously shared in the profits of the company at the highest level with its employees. Additionally, there is a profit sharing link updated regularly, by our CFO which helps employees to be aware if we are on target or not. This comment will help us to look closer at the time of distribution and discuss further. Again, we appreciate all the good work our employees have delivered in 2016 and are pleased to share in the profits.
