Pros

All the teams of people are the greatest payoff to work with. At least it once was. All those knowledgeable, dependable, and proof of great business skills were let go due to poor CEO management.

Cons

Everything. The pay is horrific. Everything is merit based and if you’re stuck in a position under a “leader” who complicates your life you won’t go far. Leadership is trash. They rid of 20+ years experience who navigated and expanded through the Covid pandemic. The CEO is the worst leader and should have been fired by the board over his mismanagement in WA state pull out. The CEO, People Manager, and the board should be completely replaced by competent people who care about the hundreds of people they keep laying off. Stay away from here.

Once respected and community-centered company is crumbling

Pros

Work from home and benefits package were solid, though the benefits outlook for the coming year is not so good.

Cons

In a few short years, the new CEO managed to completely dismantle a well respected, community-minded not for profit insurance agency that’s been around for more than 80 years. As a result, the company that many loved to work for is in rapid decline, and it is questionable whether it can remain open for the next few years. Any leaders who appeared to think critically or were well liked by employees and community partners have been fired and replaced by people who know little about the areas we serve members and appear to care even less about our communities.

Pros

Pros: Decent pay, solid benefits, and a comfortable work environment. The option to work remotely or in a hybrid setting also added flexibility and made the role more appealing.

Cons

Cons: Poor management, limited support, and inconsistent training. Outside of IT, it was very difficult to get help when needed. Management and HR also handled employee concerns poorly. In my case, a dispute with a coworker over my supposedly “rude look” turned into criticism of my natural facial expression, including being told to have a “kinder face and attitude.” The situation felt unprofessional and disrespectful, and I chose to resign shortly after.
