Worst experience of my life.

Pros

Sometimes the company throws fun events for employees

Cons

My manager was psychologically abusive. Any time something would go wrong, he would find a way to blame me for it. Whenever I tried to point out that out, he would deflect by insisting that his *intentions* were pure. When I finally tried to speak up about it, I was punished with a “culture violation” for not being supportive enough (this is a three-strikes rule, and can be grounds for termination). When that happened, I wanted to curl up and die. I felt totally alienated by entire company, including the HR department.

The Culture is Amazingly Real

Pros

The culture is exactly how you would envision it from reading their website. Every one is so nice and kind and I love working there. Being able to say you love your job is an incredible thing.

Cons

The only thing I do not enjoy about Parts Town is that your sick days are incorporated in your PTO, so you can lose a day of PTO cause you are sick and also get punished by the possibility of reduced time share and less vacation time or time you could of taken off for a doctors appointment or to be with family.

Thanks for rocking out this 5-star review! We are so happy to hear you love being part of the team. Thanks for your feedback on the PTO policy. A couple years ago we had separate Sick and Time Away policies. Since "sick time" can't be rolled over what we were finding is that team members who weren't getting sick would loose those days off. We wanted to give our team as much flexibility as possible, which lead to us combining our Sick and Time Away into one PTO policy, This allows our team to use their days off of work any way they would like - whether it be taking a day off due to being sick, for a stay-cation, or going to Disney Land! If you're interested stop by the Talent Team and we're happy to chat more about the PTO policies.

Pros

Parts Town has a truly unique culture and is a very fun place to work. They are constantly working on new and exciting ideas to continue to have a fun and laid back company culture despite the rapid growth. There are multiple committees that team members can be involved with if they are looking to pursue certain passions outside of their day to day jobs. Managers and co-workers are all incredibly friendly and laid back. They understand the value of "Thank You" and try their best to incorporate that between peers and other departments. There is a lot of opportunity for internal growth. As a rapidly growing company, there can be some internal competition for certain roles, but if you work hard and express interest, you will be given an opportunity to interview and learn more about the position

Cons

Parts Town is a very rapidly growing company. That comes with some growing pains such as added workload and stress. It can also have an impact on the culture and morale but overall managers and leaders do their best to continue hiring and maintaining the positive culture
