Pros

Most of the people who work here are good, hard-working people. They give 100% every day, and are willing to help at the drop of a hat. There are some who are only looking out for themselves, but that's typical of any business environment. The culture can be fun, but definitely overwhelming for some. However, you will only benefit from the culture as much effort as you put into it. In other words, if you don't make an effort to be social you will not have fun there.

Cons

After leaving Parts Town, I suffered a great deal of disillusionment. I had spent so long in one part of the company, and grown to see that department as a family, that once I exited that group to try and move up in the company, I realized that the company has serious problems. The amount of favoritism, nepotism, and discrimination that goes on in this company is difficult to stomach. The pay is not the least bit competitive. Leadership/Director positions are the only ones decently paid, and those people easily work 60-70 hours a week-- every week. Meanwhile, if you start in the warehouse, and eventually "move-up" into an office position, you will not be making nearly as much as someone who started in the office. The way their pay-structure works, you never will.

Pros

The benefits are really good. They give back to the community, and their employees with profit sharing, a generous time away program, incentives, and team building events. Your peers are awesome and easy to get along with. Fast paced yet laid back environment.

Cons

Upper management and supervisors are clueless. Opportunity to advance if you are middle of the road. They tend to hire outside of the company for important roles. If you are fantastic at your job they will keep you in that position as long as they can. Promote the wrong people making employees quit or stop caring.

We agree that our team members are what make Parts Town’s culture a great one! One of our highest priorities is taking care of our team not only through your bi-weekly paycheck but also with various company benefits like profit sharing, advancement opportunities, the on-site gym and new fresh food market.
