Used to be great

Pros

Pros: Used to have a great PTO policy- until it was revised. Used to have 401K- until it was revised. Used to have great benefits- until they were revised. Used to have great leadership- until it was revised. The only pro to the company is gaining experience in a new field, so it can jumpstart your career towards future endeavors. There are a lot of great employees here, and a few great leaders as well. There are great team building activities. The Holiday party is by far the best. The company was great, until it restructured in 2019.

Cons

Upper management is lacking direction. The company restructured and during that time, hired a new COO- (who has now received countless title changes) He completely flipped the company around, laid off numerous loyal and dedicated employees, and is causing a downfall within the company. The company culture has always felt like family. However, the new upper management roles have completely stripped it away. There is also a lot of favoritism. They prefer to promote from within and numerous qualified employees do not receive promotions, due to favoritism by upper management. They will promote someone with less experience, simply because they like them better. (AKA are friends) Many departments are clique-ish and work can feel like another day in high school. Managers will prefer to let you go, if they feel you are a threat to their position. (If you are more knowledgeable in areas they are not...) Of the departments, Creative is the worst regarding favoritism, and will find ways to retaliate against you, if you are in the department but aren't in their "clique." The company is still laying off employees that helped build it from the ground up. Every time a group of employees are laid off, another executive receives a bonus, title change, promotion, etc. Or they hire a new executive to help redirect the company. All of this is at an expense of the employees, who are the blood, sweat and tears of PatientPoint. Overall, I respect the CEO and founder of the company. He is amazing. He just needs to rediscover his voice, which has been clouded by the other executives around him.
