Pros

Time off Policy. Chef's kiss for now, at least. It's the "use it while you can" special. If you are resourceful, there's networking potential, think of it as scavenging in a corporate takeover. They're transparent to a fault, letting you know every bad change inbound.

Cons

The company feels like it's in survival mode. Staffing challenges, causes by hiring freezes and layoffs, have left teams stretched thin, making workloads unmanageable and tanking morale. The focus on going public has shifted priorities towards short term goals rather than long term sustainability. Career growth has been all but dismantled, as leadership roles are filled externally and promoting from within has paused until further notice. What was once a collaborative and open environment now feels cautious and risk averse, with employees not sharing ideas and definitely not concerns. Limited resources, tools and training, while expectations continue to stack. Then the kicker. The talent. The great minds of pax8 now are all jumping ship, and a major selling point of pax8 was it's support talent, is now a mere shell of its former glory. If you are reading this review, unless you absolutely need this job, run. It's only going to get worse.

Thank you for leaving a review even though some of this was tough to read. Glad you appreciate the transparency and benefits such as our flexible PTO but I am sorry to hear your experience is so negative in other areas and you seem to have lost faith in the future direction of Pax8. I acknowledge there has been a lot of change in the support team over the past twelve months, especially in the Americas. We have had to take some tough decisions for the future sustainability and scalability of the company as it evolves from distributor to marketplace. If you have not done so already, I reccomend you reach out to your POps Business Partner to share your feedback if you do not feel able to speak to your leader directly. We value all input as it helps us improve our workplace and address concerns.

Pros

- Peers you work with. The relationships I have built there I will have for the rest of my life. - Remote life is possible and they were happy to support your trips to Denver for training and team engagement. - This was like living in a Harvard Business review study. PAX8 checked every box I knew for creating and growing a new business. Very educational.

Cons

-This has been said before – a lot of bloat in middle management. I loved the work environment until mid/late 2023. -Team leads and managers really are not management material. -I had difficulty getting sales support from my manager and country lead. They were overloaded with other responsibilities. -Didn’t receive a pay raise for 2 years. So, that had been frozen, but no one told the employees. - Continual struggle for correct sales reporting. - The quota increases every quarter for the sales teams. This is psychologically demoralizing. Hey – thanks for hitting your quota so now we’re going to raise it every 3 months! -While I love any CRM system, PAX8 was overloading CAM’s with this daily routine in their salesforce system. - The open-door policy is no longer safe. Do not believe what you’re told by management. - Trainings and directives that are handed down from sales enablement team are not fully baked. There is a tendency to repeat the same sales strategy. -Good people are leaving and being replaced with datto reps. Which is ironic as they left Datto(Kaysea) due to its less than positive work environment.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We appreciate feedback even when it's challenging to hear. I regret the latter part of your time with us felt like such a decline in experience and left you with the impression that leadership does not care about people. We invest significantly in leadership training at all levels of the organisation and generally receive very positive scores in our employee engagement surveys about trust in direct managers and senior leadership. I acknowledge that our organisation has experienced growing pains with revenue tools and technology as we seek to realise our investment in marketplace growth and capitalise on the rapidly expanding market opportunity in cloud software. Our teams are working hard to improve the accuracy of reporting and set expectations on quota increases upfront. Thank you for your contribution to Pax8 over the last four years and I wish the best of luck with your next opportunity.

Pros

The benefits were awesome. Unlimited PTO, great health. A lot of access to learning and training tools.

Cons

Continuation of hiring leaders who chose to value themselves over their team. God forbid you speak up about an issue or challenge a process or policy that didnt make sense, that was the quickest way to be shown the door. And they'll continue to hire bad leaders who have 0 regard for their team. They tend to value external employees over internal for manager and director roles which obviously doesnt translate well. No promotion or even chatter of it in two years of working there.
