Pros

Some decent pay and benefits and I’ve truly worked for some great leaders over my time here.

Cons

I’ve worked here for several years and seen the department wash through half a dozen rounds of leadership. We’ve always had struggles from under staffing, to processes being broken, to resources being taken away, etc. but it seems like we’ve always managed one way or another. I’ve always been able to advocate for my clients and ultimately get what I needed to be successful. Somehow we’ve lost that. PSD is no longer the group everyone is here to support but the scapegoat for the entire organization. I can’t get anyone on the phone anymore to solve a problem my client has with another group, I can’t get support from my leaders and ultimately I’m the one having to tell senior leadership why the client left and their focus is nitpicking every interaction I had with the client for years to try to find a way to make it my fault.

Employee morale and well-being remains one of our top priorities. We understand the value our service team brings to our organization and want to support our team members in any way that we can. Our goal is to foster strong relationships across teams and departments to ensure our employees are actively collaborating and operating cohesively. Our leaders are also here to support, guide and advocate for their team members. Your experience is not reflecting our standards and we'd like to learn more. If you have not done so already, we encourage you to share your feedback with your HR business partner. You may also reach out to HR leadership at hrmgmt@paycomonline.com to discuss changes you'd like to see.

Pros

$4 lunches, great and supportive co-workers, decent pay/benefits, bonuses, great to build your skills and gain experience.

Cons

This is hands down the most toxic place I have ever worked. This company does not care about their employees physical safety, mental and physical health and just overall wellbeing even though one of their “core values” is “we care.” Your experience here will completely depend on your assigned team leader and clients. In the 7 months I have been here I have changed teams 3 times and moved desks 5 times. I have to work 9-10 hour days with no breaks just to keep up with the workload. Employees were forced to risk their safety and lives once to come in and work during an ice storm. They switched the dress code on us suddenly and gave us a week notice to buy a new wardrobe. The 4 month training was a joke. They never even taught you what you will actually do on the job or even teach you the basic setup for their products. Only hands on training lasts 4 weeks and that does not prepare you for what is to come. After you transition out of training you’re pretty much thrown into the wolves with very little knowledge or support. They will then pile more clients on you giving you a very unmanageable workload on TOP of the “metrics” you are required to meet. You are also required to stay on the phone queue all day answering phone calls which are very time consuming. Management will give you even more un-necessary tasks to complete by a certain time that will not help your clients or metrics in any way and is simply there for micromanaging purposes and get mad at you if you can’t keep up with all 74 or even 160 of your clients issues. They will hire team leaders with no PSD experience or leadership skills just because they knew someone from the higher ups. These leaders will tell you they will give you “grace” but throw you under the bus as soon as a client complains about you or leaves for reasons you had no control over. Leaders will talk to other co-workers about you behind your back and just have a bad attitude. I have told my leaders several times that I'm very overwhelmed with my client load and can’t take on more work and they pretty much said “too bad” and gave me more work that they knew I couldn’t handle and got mad if I could not figure out an issue within a day. They told me prioritize my metrics and client meetings to improve my clients experience with Paycom but as soon as I did I was penalized for not “keeping up with my emails” despite being told I would not need to prioritize my inbox as much. It doesn’t matter if you work 8 hour days and go home or work 10 hour days, the leadership will not appreciate your hard work and will fire you over one client complaint and then pile on your clients to the remaining team to overwhelm them even more. This place will suck you dry until you have nothing left to give. I can say Im trying my hardest working here and despite that, my efforts are not recognized. There’s more to say but the other reviews speak for themselves.

It is disheartening to come across your review. At Paycom, we strive to create a supportive work culture centered around the health and success of our individual team members by providing the training and resources necessary to succeed. A few of our initiatives include our physical security teams, access to on-site well-being advisors, comprehensive benefits package and ongoing training programs. In addition, our leaders truly care about our employees and recognize the role they play in helping Paycom grow and win. Pros

The job isn't bad if you don't mind typical corporate work. If you're willing to stay, you can make some good money fairly quickly, Great benefits and cool people depending on your team placement.

Cons

The job learning process wasn't very good. At three months, you finally begin job specific training and receive your first client. Most of the learning is being thrown to the fire. You learn as you work with your respective clients which can be stressful and overwhelming, You learn something new every day but they tell you that you won't know everything till a year or year and a half.

We're glad to hear our notable benefits package, along with your colleagues, had a positive impact on your Paycom experience. We understand that starting any new role comes with a transition period, however, your experience does not align with our dedication to training and equipping our team members with the knowledge and resources they need to succeed.
