Pros

It is impossible to be fired. People have been filling IT roles for decades with essentially no practical knowledge of programming or design.

Cons

It is hard to convey how truly awful PeaceHealth is. Your ability to navigate dozens of conflicting personal agendas will far outweigh competence in predicting your success. The fact that management are clueless would not be so intolerable if it were not accompanied by dishonesty and mean spirited tactics. To make matters worse, it is all done with the premise that they are carrying on the mission of Jesus Christ.

Pros

PeaceHealth is the only hospital in Bellingham. If you are dedicated to excellent, inpatient care....as an employee PeaceHealth is your only option.

Cons

PeaceHealth promises compassionate care. That promise falls short of the employees and dedicated care givers. They have a hypocritical claim of being a Christian Health System, yet their treatment of their employees is most certainly not Christian. They have gone through many 'rounds' of layoffs over the past five years. They promise 'safety to speak up' though have seen this, personally, fall short again and again. They are unable to successfully negotiate union contracts and often works and administration are at odds over fair and safe work practices.

Pros

Great clinical bedside staff Beautiful location

Cons

Horrible administration Can't keep managers If a manager actually wants to manage and has an opinion different than wat administration wants they find a way to make them "resign". Never have enough money to get more staff or equipment but then report record profits
