Pros

Over the past year, the culture has transformed in a really meaningful way. There’s been a noticeable shift toward transparency, collaboration, and rebuilding trust across the organization. Employees genuinely seem happier, more engaged, and more connected to one another. One of the biggest changes has been the feeling of stability and support. Communication is clearer, leadership is more approachable, and teams are working together instead of in silos. The current CEO has also done a great job rebuilding trust within the organization. There’s a stronger sense of transparency, accountability, and connection between leadership and employees, which has made a meaningful difference in morale and engagement. There’s also a stronger sense of accountability and teamwork now. People are willing to help each other, departments collaborate more effectively, and employees feel like their voices matter. The company has invested time into improving processes, strengthening leadership, and creating a more positive employee experience overall. What’s been especially refreshing is that the fun aspect of work has returned. There’s more energy, more laughter, and a stronger sense of connection between teams. It feels like people genuinely enjoy being at work again.

Cons

More limited remote work availability.

Pros

Having spent a decade at PetMeds, I can confidently say that our mission is the cornerstone of our culture. As a passionate advocate for animal welfare, I find it incredibly rewarding to contribute to an organization dedicated to ensuring pets live long, healthy lives. During my tenure, I have navigated several leadership transitions under four different CEOs, most of whom have demonstrated exceptional stewardship of the company. My professional growth has been consistently supported, resulting in multiple promotions and competitive compensation increases. Beyond the financial rewards, PetMeds offers a robust benefits package, a generous employee discount program, and a culture that truly values work-life balance through encouraged PTO and a flexible hybrid schedule. Ultimately, the most significant advantage of working here is the caliber of the team; I am fortunate to collaborate daily with a group of talented and dedicated professionals.

Cons

One area for potential growth is the speed of our internal implementation cycles. While high-level decision-making is efficient, the subsequent execution phase occasionally encounters bottlenecks at the departmental level. Improving our inter-departmental workflows would help us address technical or process issues with greater urgency.

Pros

This has honestly been the best job I’ve had so far. From day one, the team has been incredibly welcoming and supportive, which made a big difference early on. I’ve been here for a few years now, the changes over the past year have made a noticeable positive impact. Leadership feels more structured, communication has improved, and I’ve been able to grow both professionally and personally. It’s also really refreshing to work alongside people who genuinely care about their work, the impact it has, and have a real passion for helping others. The culture feels aligned with the company’s core values, and it doesn’t feel like they’re just words on a wall. I genuinely enjoy coming to work, which I don’t think everyone can say. The benefits are solid, and getting to be in a pet-friendly office environment is a plus.

Cons

The commute can be a bit long depending on where you live, it’s worth it given the overall experience.
