Pros

- The people - Unlimited PTO - Provide opportunities for people of all backgrounds to join the company (ex: teachers)

Cons

- Still acting like a chaotic-startup company - Lack of company/product vision - “Good ol' boys club” is real and bad! - People are treated with disrespect by the leadership team; they yell, call you stupid in your face, have no vision, and so on - No diversity - Turnover! People leave non-stop, some with no notice, some even after 4-6 months (Marketing, Sales, Product, CS, etc.) - High churn rate - No 401K - Unlimited PTO – you are clearly told to take the laptop with you while you are on vacation, have your Slack on the phone and check it regularly Due to the smart and awesome people working at Phenom, I'm giving this company two stars. Unfortunately, this has been my worst experience working for an employer! It starts up top, with the C-suite, who is yelling at everyone, pulling everyone in all directions, and the leadership they hire is the same as their own. All that great marketing you see out there is not real! There is no doubt that working in Marketing is one of the worst departments in the company, along with others: - A clear division exists between veterans and newer employees (think of people who have been there for at least 2 years). - The veterans are awestruck by the leaders and say "yes" to everything; they have no idea how and where to prioritize their work, no strategy, and no understanding of leadership. - Recently hired employees have been trying to implement project management tools, develop marketing plans, and prioritize work, but the Marketing leader does not care and listens to the veterans, which negatively impacts the whole department. - At the same time, I have never worked in a company where Marketing doesn't have a relationship with the SDR and Sales in general. These department leaders can't wait to throw one under the bus. HR knows what is happening in the company and in Marketing but they can’t do much since the C-suite owns Phenom. I think in the last 2 years, at least 10-15 people left in Marketing. Who are the people that succeed and get promotions at Phenom? People who have no life outside work, work at least 10 -12 hours per day (no matter what their title is), and on the weekends, let themselves be abused by everyone, and don't have a sense of priorities.

Pros

People, snacks, unlimited PTO, casual environment

Cons

Turnover is picking up leadership is not addressing it Pay not competitive in client services A lot of “work harder” but no time to work smarter heard we are going to staff more, but heard it was so clients can do positive references (I guess we’re getting bad mouthed lately ?? not surprised because we get lots of delays.)) Anyway, why not hire just to give a good experience ?? And so the teams have enough support?? If someone is good at their job it does not mean they are a good leader , need to promote if someone has the right skills or problems continue Internal cross functional communication continues to be an issue

Pros

Can't think of any ...

Cons

Work here if you like: -Being manipulated, lied to, humiliated and yelled at and then being dismissed when you voice any of your concerns -Not having real direction or goals and constant chaos that is actually welcomed and encouraged by senior management -Having to change everything you do last minute multiple times because nobody has any idea what they are talking about and not actually getting any work done -Constantly having core values shoved down your throat from people who don't even come close to incorporating any in their own work -Walking into work every day with dread Phenom People has one thing right - it is #NOTNORMAL but they don't seem to understand in their case, that isn't a good thing! Like someone below said below - all smoke and mirrors. What they project is completely different than how they act.
