      It's a Career at Pilot... Not Just a Job!

      Pros

      It's just such a solid company, and because of that stability, hard working employees have the chance to grow with the company. And with all of the growth Pilot Flying J has experienced over the past year, my future feels very secure here. If you come to work and do your job well, then you are rewarded for your performance.

      Cons

      There are downsides to every company, of course. The rapid growth of a company always causes some extra work for the employees, but it's worth the extra effort on my part. And PFJ rewards loyalty.

      Pilot was the worst place I have ever worked.

      Pros

      Before the merger Flying J was a wonderful company to work for. Good pay, friendly people, and caring management. Post merger was the polar opposite.

      Cons

      Working 60 hours a week and only getting paid for 40 even though I was in an hourly position and should have gotten overtime pay. Working day in and day out for 5 years and when I finally crack under the pressure and leave the company, they don't even have the decency to pay the vacation time I was owed for 5 years of loyal service.

      The pay is good and that is it.

      Cons

      They own you 12 to 16 hours a day.Your job is at risk every day and they will tell you this.Take a pitcher of your familyto work because that is the only way you will see them.
