Pros

Amazing culture!!! I know that everyone says that but I really couldn't be more serious. The leadership are real people, approachable, transparent, and there are no egos. They provide all of the resources you need to be successful here and they love to celebrate the wins-- big & small. Plus great snacks!

Cons

It's a growing company so there are always some growing pains when you are growing so quickly, but the leadership is proactive and open to hearing everyone's ideas to take the company to the next level. DEI is a work in progress and more investment in diversity hiring and promoting will only be a strength.

Pros

Great culture. During the pandemic, this company and team (Columbia MD) really took care of us. We felt valued, safe, and empowered to be here. The teams really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Great leadership across the board and a lot of opportunities to move up. Everyone knows your name and wants to hear your story. Compensation is fantastic compared to the industry, and the remote opportunity is great for parents and (Dog parents) alike!

Cons

None! The training was a bit intense- but they have taken all our suggestions and are revamping it based on feedback which I appreciate!

Thank you for the feedback! Like many, we faced many challenges during the pandemic, but our core values help us to focus and thrive, even in difficult times. We are thrilled to know that you felt supported. We appreciate the feedback on training and we know it can be a bit overwhelming at first. That's why we have implemented a nuanced support system and an entire team dedicated to training and enablement; to ensure that our employees have access to the resources they want and need to find success. Naturally, we expect to see more cross-office visits when the pandemic slows. We believe that interaction and communication between our four locations can only help us to grow and learn from one another. It makes us happy to know that you are happy, and your feedback is always helpful. Thanks again!

Pros

I’m not one to usually leave reviews, but this company is truly one of a kind. Never in my career, have I felt as appreciated, heard, and truly cared about as an individual contributor then I have during my employment at Piper Companies. It’s rare to find a place where you feel valued as an employee, are actually given the resources and training you need to be successful, and on top of that feel excited to go to work each day. The recruitment team Is also filled with some of the hardest working and truly motivated individuals. Being around a team that’s so positive, especially with everything going on in the world, truly rubs off on everyone who works there. Not to mention, our team is hilarious, probably some of the funniest people I’ve met. It’s nice to have made great friends both inside and outside of work.

Cons

Being on the production side of the organization does pose work life balance issues if your type A like me. While I do work longer hours, it’s not something that’s mandatory but rather a professional choice. Piper is special in the fact that your given the opportunity to create your own hours apart from the standard 40/hr Work week. Meaning, if you want to work longer, you have the full opportunity and space to work as long as you want, and really create your own path for success as they do not limit or put a cap on the amount of income or commission you can make. Another thing is even if you don’t have the flexibility or personally want to work over a standard 40 hour week, Piper pays significantly higher then industry standard for their employees base salaries which is a huge selling point for commission-based jobs and quite a rarity.
