Pros

When I joined, we had a close-knit team with supportive upper management. Able to work remotely full time. Could be a good temporary stop If you are based in Bangalore, India

Cons

- Average compensation compounded by no merit bonus. 2-4% raises unable to keep up with current economic climate - Average benefits and 401K package – surprising for a “benefits administration company” - Very high attrition rates, especially with tenured staff, leading to a “brain drain” situation - Non-stop restructuring - New leadership change has focus on India office and despite it not being headquarters, it is the nicest office they have - Redundancy always looming with focus on India - C-suite has brought in new members that have created an extremely toxic work environment with lack of transparency - With new leadership tied to appeasing current owners, there is not a clear direction regarding company goals especially when it comes to direction, outsourcing and compensation - If you don’t like brain-teaser exams, watch out for the required-for-hiring CCAT test

Unpredictable Leadership and Low Compensation

Pros

A few years ago, this was an awesome place to work. Unfortunately, it got acquired and leadership change after leadership change eventually led to a massive push to outsource everything to India. This happened conveniently at the start of the Covid pandemic, which was immediately followed by massive layoffs with no warning and a surge of new India positions. It all felt pretty shady and the stress is still hanging over the remaining US employees. - Remote options available for most roles - If you are from India, the opportunities seem pretty great. - Employees who have been with PlanSource longer than 3 years all are amazing and great to work with.

Cons

- Benefits aren't great (especially for a "Benefits Administration" company) - Very low compensation with no opportunities for promotion. - Leadership refuses to be transparent when it comes to outsourcing, compensation, restructuring, or company wide decisions. - Too much focus on quantity over quality in employees. Example: letting long time employees with valuable domain knowledge leave while adding hundreds of India employees with no prior knowledge. - Attrition hasn't slowed down in two years. Leadership refuses to hire high experienced replacements for lost knowledge. - No Cost of Living adjustment. - Both US and India employees are expected to work at odd hours due to the vast time difference.

Pros

Software solution by itself is fine. Location is fine. Coworkers were mostly nice. Relaxed attire and flexibility with schedules. Yep

Cons

Poor leadership, processes undefined, huge workload. Failure of management to fully understand scope and intensity of products. Some direction from management to be dishonest with clients.
