      Pros

      Planet encourages their employees to follow their interests and never stop learning. In my year at Planet I've seen people switch from business-focused roles to technical roles, from software dev to spacecraft/hardware. Everyone has the chance to to follow their interests, and you aren't punished if your interests change. The most welcoming and thoughtful company I've worked at.

      Cons

      As in most companies, the loudest voices often win when setting priorities and and working on cross-team projects. Luckily, Planet's management team works hard to empower all employees to speak their mind, and make their voices heard.

      Pros

      The work environment is great with an infectious energy. A committed bunch. They have a lot of excellent employees.

      Cons

      Cost of living in SF is ridiculous. Recent layoff blemishes company cred. Lots of competition so they must execute well.

      Pros

      Cool culture, SPACE! and free food. Everyone works hard and they truly hire the best.

      Cons

      Layoffs. Space is hard and I have seen some of the best get laid off from Planet. Its common knowledge rockets blow up and are delayed but I wish the top management would look more long term and retain some of the talent we have lost.
