Pros
The vast majority of the employees are smart, friendly, helpful and consciences about their jobs. The office location was excellent, free parking too. The food was easily the best thing about Porch from an employees perspective. If you are fresh out of college and are prepared to work hard, earn low wages and get experience, Porch is for you.
Cons
My manager was smart but was a horrible team leader. He was a poor communicator and would throw you under the bus at the drop of a hat during management meetings. He was young and obviously had never managed a single person in his life. Every 48 hours, my job changed dramatically, 90%-100%. It also changed every single hour before the huge change that took place every other day. My background in college was MIS-Business Analytics and Business Management and I have no doubt that my manager was annoyed by my 2 questions a day. How does your manager get annoyed for asking him a question about something that was 100% correct yesterday and now was 100% incorrect today? My work ethic and intelligence intimidated my manager and co-captain of my area. They were insecure about their own abilities and saw me as a threat. I was let go from my $12 per hour position because of this. Are you serious?
