Pros

Job stability Great work environment Positive culture Good benefits package Flexibility

Cons

Severely lacking in growth opportunities for employees Lots of miscommunication between departments / up & down the food chain that leads to employee confusion / frustration High attrition rate - employees leaving left and right (a lot of times it's the more experienced people who feel under-appreciated / under-valued) Poor on-boarding / internal training processes - employees are not given the resources they need post-hire to succeed and grow Management doesn't listen to employee requests / recommendations / ideas Taking initiative, trying to prove yourself, and going the extra mile probably won't get you noticed / promoted - it'll likely just mean more and more gets added to your plate "Unlimited" time off (DTO) isn't really unlimited - your manager will reference how much time you've already taken off in the calendar year (regardless of your work performance) and reprimand you / deny requests depending on their need for employees to be at work (often times in the most common times of year to take vacation - ex. Spring, Summer, holidays...) Compensation rates / job titles have too much variation among employees with essentially the same roles & responsibilities Career path / growth chart makes no sense and you aren't really given the tools / advice needed to take the next steps towards getting promoted

Pros

The benefit package is fair; I like the available choices.

Cons

Listen to the people who know their product. We can live with Vista policy but Vista doesn't know the details. You are not involving them and they are frustrated as their jobs get harder and harder... not due to the customer work by by the red tape and over-structuring Vista is pushing down on them. Employees and other supervisors are quitting and running from us like crazy. Customers are hearing about how bad things are.

Pros

Long time, pre-Vista acquisition employees that have managed to survive the constant “talent refresh” mentality, still care about the core product and clients.

Cons

Poor customer care, profit over service, no regard for work life balance, sub par benefits simply to drive profits over employee care. Metrics that aren’t realistic and designed to penalize employees. This is the Vista model.
