Pros

• Pays slightly better compared to similar phone sales jobs • provides an opportunity to get some sales experience

Cons

• Ridiculously high turnover! I worked there for a year and a half and served under 4 different District Managers. They start off engaged an energetic but will eventually be unresponsive and end up quitting after they realize what a mess this company is. And that’s just for management! It’s even worse for the rank and file. People will be let go for little to no reason. I’ve seen coworkers fired instantly for simply trying to alert HR to the abuse we face. • Unrealistic goals and expectations! I worked at a Walmart that was classified as rural and I was still harassed by my Sales/District Manager about not getting 3 postpaid sales in a 6 hour shift. • Be expected to perform lots work outside of your job description! Since you work at Walmart, you’re expected to do a lot of the grunt work of an electronics associate but for less pay. You’ll fetch printer ink, answer questions about TVs, and cover the lunches/breaks of Walmart associates. If you tell customers that you’re only there to sell phones, they’ll complain to management to try to get you fired. And don’t forget that you’ll get in trouble with management about not meeting sales goals! • Get in trouble for helping people! Technically incompetent customers will ask you to troubleshoot their phones and spend hours fixing their prepaid phone service and your manager will reprimand you for not selling enough as a result! • Get in trouble for not lying to customers! Management will constantly mislead you about the deals that you’re expected to pitch. You’ll be expected to steer customers away from a low cost prepaid plan to a much more expensive postpaid plan that tacks on about 20% of hidden fee. Management will promise you that a customer is going to get a discount to lure in a sale, but you’re on your own when the customer comes back cussing you out because of an inflated bill! • Don’t expect to be given the tools to do a good job! During my 1 and a half year tenure, I was provided exactly one polo shirt that I had fo wear every day. You’ll have to use your personal cell phone to follow up on leads and troubleshoot customer devices. Expect a lot of spam calls and to be sexually harassed by customers because you were forced to give them your personal phone number. We were expected to memorize the constantly shifting phone and plan prices and then pitch them with little to no promotional materials.

Pros

they pay for gas and milage. team and other people at your level all struggle the same

Cons

No work life balance.. pay is very low, commissions are terrible. They allow foul language and unprofessional conduct. They do not take ownership or listen to their teams. When people try to voice their concerns, they are silenced. then we just did not hear from those people anymore and they weren't in the chats. they have a High CHURN rate even at management levels. They will ask you to work extra hours and stay late and come in early and when you do not hit your numbers they are more about firing people than investing in them. if you work here you will have no days off as a manager. you take calls from 7:00 am all the way to 11:30 PM at night everyday. They are extremely poor to work for.

Pros

Flexible schedule, nothing else, that's it.. ..

Cons

Where do I start, All this applies to part-timers in the field. I doubt they have any full timers., No raises in over two years. Cost of living goes up but not your pay. It's basically a minimum wage job.. No fuel/mileage reimbursement, which other companies do.. No bonuses, while other vendor/ merchandise companies were giving bonuses to its field workers during the height of the COVID19 epidemic working in the field and risking our health and the health of our family members this company did nothing. No vacation for part timers,,, giving part timers say 3 days a year wont break the company.. If you get called for Jury Duty and are chosen the company does not pay you.. meaning make up the difference, All you get is whatever Jury Duty pays you, which isn't much And worse of all Funeral pay.. If somebody in your family passes, parent, sibling or worse spouse or child, you get time off but no pay. All you will get is probably a card in the mail. And I doubt that will even happen .All they care about is store coverage, and that the work gets done..You never hear from your manager unless you do something wrong.. No thanks for doing a good job.. And the rating system they have, means nothing .. It does nothing, I dont see why employees are so concerned with getting 5 stars. And recently they reduced employees hours and store counts. With no warning. I went from 30 hours a week down to 20 or less.. I had three stores, now by middle of August I'll have one.. Really.. I'm supposed to pay my bills on that.. That's a BIG chunk of pay to lose.. We all have bills to pay. And if somebody leaves the company instead of assigning those stores to a current employee, they go out and hire a new employee.I doubt the owners of the company have any idea what's going on..They most likely have that deer in the headlight look. .If could rate this company zero stars I would..
