Pros

Work independently. Make your own schedule. Mostly weekends off. Good, Easy money when there is hours. Little to no customer service required.

Cons

Driving a lot. No growth opportunities. There is only steady work about 4 months a year, little to no hours at all during the rest of the year. RMM will revoke hours for 30 days or more for simple mistakes and/or claiming sick leave without caring about their employees. As a zone specialist, no one will appreciate the work you do (store managers, rmm, coworkers) which can be frustrating.

Pros

This was a good job for me for the two years I was with them. I started with a weekend project that paid very well, then moved to the Pet Program (wouldn't recommend them) then into Merchandising. My RMM quit about a month after I started, which was surprising, so I was asked by an RMM in another district if I was interested in Field Merchandising during 4th quarter. I knew that by working with the Pet Program and Field Merchandising I would be working full-time during 4th and 1st quarters, so I did it. My new RMM for Merchandising was great and I have great things to say about her, especially since she had been a Field Rep for 5 years before being moved up. The RMM for the Pet Program was another story. Can you say "incompetent or unorganized"? That's what he was. He was the reason I left---I wanted to work only Merchandising but he wouldn't let me go. Reporting and calendaring system (QTRAX) are very easy to work with. That is a very big plus for PRS. Keep in mind that my star ratings are based on my personal experience.

Cons

Deadlines are too close sometimes when your RMM gives you alot of work. Company is top-heavy with middle management. I've heard from other Merchandising companies that PRS is loosing entire contracts and/or pieces of those contracts. Pay is really low (a few cents over minimum wage) and, of course, there are no benefits.
