Pros

Reasonable hourly/salary compensation along with performance based bonuses. The goals aren't too lofty or irrational. Very Attainable. I work as part of a market that is based eight hours from where I live, so communication is critical. Outside of time difference issues (which are minute), it feels as though I can "walk over" aka call, text or email my boss and expect a response about as fast as an in person conversation. Lastly, the products that I'm responsible for were taught to me in a way that was very easy to learn thoroughly. Within 6 weeks, I became an ambassador for a product that I knew nothing about before.

Cons

Not many cons to speak of. The long distance does affect certain things. I feel it makes it easier to delay talks of promotion or pay raises. However, that is an issue at plenty of jobs that aren't long distance. At times when technology doesn't work how we want it to, it becomes difficult to properly report your work, but this is a rare occasion.

Pros

- Lots of freedom - Very make or break on your manager but if you have a good one they allow you to perform and not be micromanaged (I have had the other and it was a nightmare) -They do promote from within

Cons

- Sometimes Work Life Balance gets crazy with reps calling you all hours and you feel obligated to answer because your bonus is tied to their performance and execution - Bonus structure kind of sucks in the idea that you are weighted against you peers in a very convoluted bell curve where you never really know where you truly stand at the end of the day because they don't share your peers numbers. It should be simple hit your numbers and be paid accordingly but they don't do it that way even though other regions are completely different than yours. - They do promote internally but it seems the higher you go up the more of your life you have to be willing to part with as you just get way busier for not much more money. - Benefits are just okay - Bonus for PSP team needs to be better or salary higher.

Pros

Its completely independent work. No one breathing down your neck or over your shoulder. You can schedule your own work and route for the week. You get to work actually do continuity work for some popular household name brands in familiar stores and franchises. Their web portal to submit your time and schedule your work is easy to learn and user friendly. If you already have experience in the field doing this type work, its less of a learning curve.

Cons

Unfortunately they pay is the biggest negative. For the all the hard work we do in the field at the stores, dealing with some nasty attitudes and dysfunctional stores/management- we should definitely be paid more that minimum wage! They could also improve on communication and instructions. Minimal training.
