Pros

Fun gadgets to work with.

Cons

Non-Competitive salary. They used a special purpose acquisition company to list on NYSE MYND, aiming to capitalize on the growing interest in AI, though their core operations are not AI-based. As a result, their stock value decreased, and there was no plan to offer equity to employees. Management now emphasizes financial oversight, marketing, and maintaining a positive public image, in contrast to the previous focus on engineering-driven product development. A strategic decision was made to reduce the engineering workforce by 50%, which has impacted their ability to introduce new products.

Pros

- You'll get to work with great individuals who really care about teachers. - Some middle managers really care about their teams and team development. - A brand reputation that you can be proud of (teachers love Promethean)

Cons

- Inconsistent strategy has teams running full speed in a direction only to almost cross the finish line before being told there is a new direction. The expectation is full pivot, immediately. - Zero celebration of success - sometimes it's not even acknowledged. - Executives who are more focused on proving they are the smartest person in the room, without any experience/ability to perform any of the roles on their team. -It appears acceptable in the eyes of HR for managers to yell, berate and belittle their teams. They were told by exiting employees that this was happening and did nothing to resolve the issue. - Leadership does not value employees - when asked about how managers can drive better employee retention, the leadership response is "let them leave" - Leadership lacks diversity entirely. Opportunities to improve diversity have not been taken.

Pros

People are great. Benefits are decent, although employee contributions into the plan increased by about 30% - 40% from 2024 - 2025. Embraced working from home post-pandemic.

Cons

Layoffs, cost reductions, poor morale, no bonuses, lack of direction, leaders who talk badly about their teams and provide no support or air cover. People quitting left and right. Complete lack of communication about the reverse merger. No equity in Mynd.AI for anyone below the C-Suite. Senior leadership is completely disconnected from its people. There is NO vision, direction, or strategy behind what we're doing at any given time. Priorities change almost daily. People are disconnected and silo'd. People are asked to work on side projects in addition to their normal workload - without any sort of compensation, bonuses, or commitment to hiring people to do the work.
