Pros

This is the most well-intentioned company I worked for as it relates to sales training, customer relations, etc.

Cons

There are 'intentions' and then there's the reality of the market. Prudential clearly has a well established reputation in southern California, BUT it became very clear, very quickly, that their near anonymity when navigating in markets well established by Cintas, Aramark, etc. only serves to their detriment. (The training they provided helped one navigate well within the Prudential world, but provided nothing when it came to addressing the competition.)

Sales training lacking

Pros

The people in the plant doing the grunt work are some of the hardest working, humble people you will ever meet.

Cons

Upper management so far has been a farce. I do not know who told them they are qualified to train new hires. You spend more time about every position except yours. The training and how capable the trainer is probably varies by region but I spent three days out of a five week training program actually being trained on their CRM software. Virtually NO training was geared toward anyone coming from outside the industry. It is all verbal direction and not practical example or direction. Probably because most doing the training do not know how to show you by example. Absolute mind numbing gibberish. After the five weeks it is sink or swim and you will have no doubt which one you are doing. There is constant reference to people they have let go so the stress can get old fast. It is a true hunter position but you can easily end of feeling like the hunted very quickly. If you are looking for an account management position that values relationships with customers, this may not be for you. In fact, I constantly hear them talking down about those types of reps. News flash POS...companies a lot bigger and more profitable see the value in those relationships.

Sad watching it sink

Pros

Met a lot of really great people and learned a lot of skills. Wish I could have traveled more.

Cons

Watching the ship sink. They take the strangest approaches to problems and seem to always get rid of the good people while keeping the mediocre,
