Pros

Even the base consultant position (associate business analyst) is able to really develop a full range of consulting skills - data collection and analysis, strategy development, client management, etc. - which makes pcg a great firm for consultants just starting out. It's a young firm (22 years) and there is still an entreprenureal feeling within the company, which makes it a faced-paced, exciting to work.

Cons

Managers fight amongst each other about who gets credit (read: a big bonus) for each contract and are "territorial" with their clients. Low salary compared to other consulting firms. Little to no upward mobility for female managers...old boys' club at the top.

Pros

Some exciting work, but not too interesting. People are ok, but no one really cares about what others are doing. The benefits are pretty good, and there's a lot of flexibility. There's some exposure to high level/important work, but only if you're lucky.

Cons

Challenging work, no clear lines of communication with top level managers. Very difficult to ask for assistance with projects. The company has what I would call a "compartment" mentality - once you're assigned to a specific project group, it is impossible to change it. Very hard to promote your skills with other people around the company. Small cliques form and favoritism plays a role.
