Pros

I got paid some money.

Cons

I saw a review that says “change brings opportunity to those who embrace it.” This equates to “sit down and shut up” at Q2, especially if you’re an intelligent, hard working woman with many, many years of this squirrelly software under your belt. The numbers of opportunities these folks have murdered, internally, is absurd. You can’t just hire hot-shot dummies from Seattle and think it’s OK, with this software. They fire managers on a whim, ruining your whole 3-year plan for that move, over and over and over again. They hire management from out of state with no regard for the teams they are affecting. Those “managers” obviously don’t work out, and they just rinse and repeat. Multiple employee teams, together, taking about urgent and necessary changes, got eliminated one by one. Management is not really a thing that is handled properly here. Part of the definition of management is providing your employees with the tools and resources that they need to do their job efficiently - I’ve experienced this exactly twice at Q2 and both of those stellar managers were promptly fired. Whomever is in charge (9 layers now) is doing it wrong.

Pros

It pays money and offers benefits. Not much, but that's about the only pro. I assume half the management meetings are to discuss how to remove pay entirely. I suppose the sheer size means you can find other jobs internally. External employees will likely start at a higher pay band than you. Nice!

Cons

-Overworked -Understaffed -Grossly incompetent management -Raises lower than inflation/cost of living -Virtually no culture Do yourself a favor and stay away. Q2's tagline should be "Profit over people". This place is the epitome Corporate America...the bad parts. Have you ever heard of Dan Price? The CEO in Seattle that paid everyone 70k, including himself, after taking a $1 million pay cut? He would have a field day talking about Q2. Meanwhile our CEO makes many millions just selling his stock. What a champ!

Pros

The financial and fintech industries are still growing at a rapid pace Opportunity if you are in specific departments

Cons

Internal job training is non-existent for some departments. Fake message of ability to gain marketable skills with company support Fake company culture Clients are always first, no matter the cost Company employees are always second, awful work/life balance Refusal to streamline change with Customers in modern times Ambiguous and chaotic responsibilities Company is completely behind competitive job market incentives and benefits Workplace eventually turns toxic and continuous change of processes and middle management means your daily expectations can never be firm Endless team churn and very inefficient internal communication tools and methods
