Nice people but low salary and no appreciation

Pros

Great location, nice perks, nice people, pretty cool product and functionality, life/work balance, flexible schedule, promote from within, always food around, provide good equipment to work on (laptops, monitors, etc)

Cons

Low salary, negative outlook by many employees, too much unnecessary structure, not much cross-department interaction, a lot of "not my problem" and "not my job" and "send it to someone else to fix"

Pros

As an intern I got to work on projects that matter, and never had to fetch coffee or food. The company also offered training on professionalism (resumes, public speaking and presentations, networking, etc.) that's valuable beyond the scope of whatever division you intern in. Parking was also free and readily available.

Cons

For the actual fields, not enough training is provided. A lot of learning I did related to my tasks I did on my own. If you don't like public speaking, don't intern here. There's a presentation at the end of the internship in front of the CEO, founder, and others.

Pros

I am really happy to have found Q2. It's a growing company at a really cool inflection point poised to grow a lot more. There is opportunity here for those willing to roll up their sleeves and earn it. I'm surrounded by smart people who are engaged and hard working. This is not a place to zone out on autopilot, but I wasn't happy at those kinds of places, anyway. The pay is comparable or slightly higher than industry standards, and one can tell the founders and people who've been here a long time really care about the mission.

Cons

I'm not a fan of the color coded lanyards we have to wear. Totally throws off my necklace game.
