Pros
Some of the people that work there are nice, good place to learn lab basics. When there is no work to do, which happens a lot in the summer, you can sleep on comfy leather couches if you work night shift.
Cons
Unhealthy work environment--one of the managers is constantly trying to undermine the other. She will hoard work so that the other manager has nothing to give to his employees. I have worked so many shifts where we had literally nothing to do for 10.5 HOURS because of this lady. The president of the company took the time to meet with me in the interview, giving me some insight to his values for business ethics and the importance of treating employees well so that a stable work environment can be maintained and good employees will be retained. However, this was completely counter to the way you are treated when working there by the president himself. That being said there are a couple cool managers. There was also a lot of promise for upward mobility but this is absolutely not the case. There is practically no ability to move up. It also feels like they are constantly trying to find you doing something wrong. There is a very strange work atmosphere that encourages employees to tattle on others.
